Software Installation

AcuGraph is installed by internet download. No CD or other physical media is required. During the purchase or upgrade process you will be given the download link for the software installer.

Which do I need: Laptop or Desktop?

Either type of computer will work. Some users prefer the portability of a laptop, while others use a desktop in a set exam location in their office.

What About a Tablet?

AcuGraph will run on a tablet device that meets the following requirements:
  • Windows 10 or 11 full version operating system
  • USB Port
  • Minimum Screen Resolution of 1024 x 768
  • Support for other tablet types is coming soon!

Printing

AcuGraph supports most laser and ink-jet printers. The printer you wish to use must be accessible to your computer by direct connection to your computer or through a network. Best results are obtained when graphs are printed in color, and a color printer is therefore recommended.

Internet Connection

AcuGraph requires an internet connection for the following functions:

  • Product installation and license registration
  • AcuGraph secure backup service
  • Emailing patient reports
  • Data sharing between your computers

Once set up, AcuGraph can operate for up to 30 days without an internet connection, at which time the system must be connected to the internet to synchronize.

AcuGraph Hardware Details

Buttonless Probe Design: AcuGraph will take readings both automatically and manually, with no button press required. This ensures that the pressure and angle of the probe on the skin will not change at the moment of capturing the reading, as they would if a button press were required. Yes, we’re fanatical about accuracy. And it shows. Our innovative approach still preserves all the benefits of point searching and scanning for the plateau before taking the reading. We just figured out how to do it without a button—a real plus down the road too, because aging buttons, like all moving parts, eventually wear out.

Automatic Measurement Timing: AcuGraph provides unsurpassed consistency and accuracy in reading by providing automatic computer timing of each point measurement.

IntelliGraph Adjustments: The IntelliGraph statistical analysis system automatically adjusts all readings based on age, gender, and meridian measured. This system is unequalled for accuracy.

No Battery Use: All batteries die, and low battery levels affect the performance of electronic equipment. The last thing you need in clinical practice is to be without your equipment because of a dead battery. This is why AcuGraph does not require a battery, but uses consistent, safe, microprocessor-regulated voltage from your computer’s USB port for uncompromised accuracy and reliability.

No Recalibration Required: AcuGraph monitors and automatically corrects its calibration 10 times every second—maintaining perfect calibration in any measurement condition. With AcuGraph, you can ALWAYS be sure your measurements are correct.

Cotton Swab Probes: Older-style probes that require stuffing cotton into a cup have many disadvantages. The measurement area is too large, Jing-well points cannot be measured at all, the cotton is difficult and messy to change, the moisture level is tough to regulate, and the cotton harbors germs and corrosion if it isn’t changed consistently. AcuGraph gives you the convenience of disposable cotton-swab tips that are clean, easy to change, and accurate in measurement.

Gold-Plated Probe Tip: Any probe tip or reading stylus that will be in contact with water and patient’s skin must be properly resistant to corrosion and discoloration. Most metals aren’t up to the challenge and will eventually discolor. That’s why AcuGraph’s tip is triple plated with 23-karat gold. We pioneered this innovation. By the way, nickel is not a good choice. It is not as resistant to corrosion, and can cause allergic reactions in some patients.
